How To Pull Tables From A PDF Into Excel
Bank statements, invoices, financial reports - the data you want is in a PDF and there's no XLSX in sight. Manually retyping is the slowest possible solution.

When This Works Well
Best results come from PDFs with real, native tables - documents where the table cells are encoded as structured grid elements. Most modern bank statements and financial reports fall into this category.
Worse results: tables rendered as fixed-position text without grid structure, or tables that are actually scanned images.
Scanned Tables Need OCR First
If your tables are images (scanned bank statements, photographed receipts), run OCR PDF first to add a text layer. Even then, OCR on tabular layouts is imperfect - expect to clean up cells.
